I turn operational drag into reliable systems.

I’m Johnathan Green, an automation and integration engineer with more than ten years in enterprise IT and managed services. I build production tooling, connect business systems, and apply AI where it improves the work.

Selected work

Systems built for real operations

These examples focus on the engineering decisions, safeguards, and operational outcomes behind the tools.

02 AI integration

OAuth-secured MCP context service

Built a TypeScript Model Context Protocol service that supplies approved context to compatible AI clients. The design separates employee data, exposes company guidance read-only, and uses OAuth for controlled access.

  • Purpose-built tools and context boundaries
  • Employee data isolation
  • Cloud deployment with a supporting data store
  • TypeScript
  • MCP
  • OAuth
  • Cloudflare Workers
  • D1
03 Human-in-the-loop AI

Operational document agents

Created an invoice-comparison workflow that flags billing changes and produces follow-up actions. Built a separate employee-handbook assistant that answers from approved policy documents and routes uncertain questions to HR.

  • Grounded responses from approved sources
  • Clear uncertainty and escalation paths
  • Reports designed for operational follow-through
  • Agent workflows
  • Document analysis
  • Prompt design
  • Human review
04 Open source

Get-DomainStatus

Created a PowerShell tool that combines RDAP and WHOIS registration data, DNS records, certificate-transparency history, and live TLS analysis. Used it to enumerate and analyze more than 3,000 sites.

  • Structured output for follow-on automation
  • Multiple data sources with graceful fallback
  • Public code and usage documentation
  • PowerShell
  • RDAP
  • DNS
  • SSL/TLS

Development process

AI-assisted engineering, with the decisions left in

A published session record shows how I scoped, challenged, and iterated on a passive security-reconnaissance tool with an AI coding partner.

Engineering approach

Automation first. AI where it earns its place.

I choose the simplest dependable mechanism for each part of the process, then design for the people who must operate it.

Use deterministic controls

Scripts and workflows handle predictable steps. AI handles interpretation, synthesis, and interaction where fixed rules become brittle.

Design the failure path

Dry runs, scoped permissions, protected records, logging, exception handling, and human escalation belong in the first design.

Build for adoption

A working tool has no value if the team cannot trust or operate it. I pair implementation with documentation, training, and clear ownership.

Experience

Built from the operational layer up

My support and infrastructure background shapes how I engineer automation. I know what an unclear alert, unsafe default, or undocumented dependency does to the person handling the incident.
